Blessing in Disguise

Pencil version of Petronas Tower of my 6 years old son

I consider Malaysia as my second home, since it's just near from my country of origin and like a city girl from the province every time I miss my country I can go home as soon as I want to because it's just a 2 hours away from the Philippines. But since I had children to consider sometimes I forgot my selfish intention and hang on to my feelings of missing my country, friends and relatives. But today that it was a mother's day I've realize that there are still a lot of blessings to be considered while living in another country like Malaysia.  As I start the day I had my monthly check up and I thank God that he gave me a very wonderful and supportive husband, along the way we encounter countless wonderful people. My own description of Malaysia, It was filled with very nice people not to mention how beautiful the country was, the beaches and tourist spot. The first Taxi driver that we encounter for this day gave us so much inspiration that it was like more than attending on how to be a good parent seminar (my story here). It was all worth it that today on mothers day I've learned so much in just as short as 10 minutes drive but I've learned like half of my life on how to have a good relationship with my children. That I even felt some tears on my eyes while the 60 year old taxi driver share his own experience with his children. While going home another nice taxi driver (maybe it's just my day) tells us story about every old buildings we pass by, their history and how their ancestors sacrifice and spend so much just to built those buildings. I've realize how Malaysian people value their culture and their ancestors how they love and so proud of their country I felt as if I am a tourist with a tourist guide around hehehe. With this experience for sure I will stay more longer than expected. I LOVE YOU MALAYSIA hehehe.

Hari Raya Puasa

To my Muslims friends Ramadan was nearly finish and Hari Raya Puasa was about to celebrate as of this writing. Just a glimpse,  Ramadan was a month of fasting for our Muslims friends, it means it is time to submit everything to Allah, the holy one. Even children  was thought to fast when they are young and this is one qualities I admire to most of our Muslims friends. While Hari Raya was a time to forget and forgive so they are already preparing for this celebration. Actually Hari Raya starts  one month ahead during the fasting period of Ramadan. Housewife starts to sew beautiful curtains and buy new cloths for the family. This is one of the important traditions follow by the Muslims that I started appreciating after staying here in Malaysia for a while.
